Delicious! Seafood at Victuals & Co

salmon & quails egg at Victuals&co

Not long ago we “discovered” Deal in Kent. It is a lovely town by the sea, just north of Dover. It is full of quaint charm, it is full of sea air and on a clear day, France is clearly visible just across the waters.

It is also a wonderful place for seafood and no mater if you eat fish and chips or buy fresh fish it doesn’t get better. After having done some research we wend there for the day, it was warm and sunny and we went to Victuals & Co. Victuals means food or provision and I can’t think of a much better place to go for food as well as drink.

The place is full of quirky art 23Aug_VictorialsArt

We opted to start with award winning Loach Duart Salmon, quails egg and green beans, it was just as delicious as it looked!

I had a glass of chilled chablis to go with the fish and for main course we shared a fish plate. It was delicious.

We had a lovely chat with the owner and it is the kind of place that I know I will come back to and if you have any plans on coming to Deal and if you like fish this is a must place to come to but make sure to book! This is what seafood should taste like but it is difficult to find anything so fresh in London, what a treat!
