This week summer has arrived to London, not quite sure for how long but the weather is so warm and sunny it feels like a great treat! The sky is clear blue and it has been up to 21C, just gorgeous.

I meet with a friend last night and we decided to go to Cantina Laredo in Covent Garden. They serve very nice Tex Mex foods.

We started with one of their specialty, guacamole that they make at the table and it is served with the thin corn chips for dipping.

They had half price Margaritas and I got through quite a few of strawberry margaritas throughout the evening. We opted against wine and stayed on the Margarita theme all night, it worked a treat!

The presentation is as nice as the food and my friend had chicken breast stuffed with king prawn and a little vegetable stuffed courgette.

I had enchiladas del mar, enchiladas stuffed with prawns, fish and scallop, served with a lightly spicy sauce and very fluffy and flavourful rice. It was very nice and the seafood made for a very nice and light meal.

The highlight of the meal (besides the company and the margaritas) was the churros, perfectly light with a slight crunch. It was served with spiced chocolate sauce and orange cream, very nice indeed. Actually so nice we had to have just one more Margarita to go with it, and then one for the road.

It was a great evening and I would go back again, great staff, atmosphere and food!
